Call for papers open: contribute to the Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference 2021 alongside SONNET

The 13th edition of the Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference on “Interpreting Politics, Governance & Space” will be held online from 28 June – 2 July 2021, featuring 31 engaging panels. A number of these discussions will focus on topics that we are researching in the SONNET project, like campaigns against fossil-fuel energy pathways, and cooperation between researchers and policymakers to accelerate energy transitions in cities.

If social innovation in energy transitions is among your research interests and you work in this topical area, this is a great opportunity for you!

SONNET colleagues, Julia Wittmayer (DRIFT) and Sabine Hielscher (University of Sussex), are organising a panel on “Narratives, frames and knowledge in the current energy and climate debate” (P11). Contribute to the panel with your work on:

  • the directionality of sustainability transitions;
  • the construction and content of societal frames and narratives;
  • as well as the role of such framings and narratives in sustainability transitions.

SONNET partners will also contribute to the panel “Transformative Space: action research, innovative practice and system change” (P10), focusing on the creation of transformative spaces, in which relations can be built and hegemonic systems are challenged.

Interested in contributing? Submit your paper proposal by 20 March 2021.

You can find more information on the application process here.
